2014 Peter S. Thacher Award Recipient: Dr. John Harmon

​His distinguished 30 year career as a Professor at Central Connecticut State University in the Geography Department has touched the lives of many students who in turn have contributed in their own way to the advancement of GIS in the state of CT and New England Region. While helping to develop and shape CCSU’s GIS program Dr. Harmon has challenged and inspired students with his GIS classes and his support and commitment to help find students internships and real world GIS job experience.
