| Abstract: | The Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW) data layer has been in place since 1995. The designation of an area as an ORW is based upon data which during the intervening years has been improved and updated. This presentation looks at the underlying Statute as it defines ORW’s and how this was originally interpreted and translated into a GIS layer. Then examines how we updated the layer using current data. The result is a layer that is more accurate and more useful to Wetland and Environmental Professionals. |
