GIS Funding

A primary goal for a GIS manager is to maintain adequate money to fund their GIS program. The purpose of this panel discussion is to bring funding suggestions to the participants and create a lively discussion of funding options.

The panel will include:

Robie Hubley: Mr Hubly works with the legislative office at Massachusetts Audubon. He was a key person in getting a GIS bond funded by the Massachusetts Legislature.

Russ Gaulin: Mr. Gaulin is the MIS/GIS Director for the Town of Westborough. He will discuss how he keeps his GIS program funded to serve his community.

Howie Sternberg: Mr. Sternberg is a Senior GIS Analyst with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. Howie will discuss how his program successfully obtained funding for a major GIS integration project that resulted in a data conversion to SDE.
