Abstract: CHA has developed several interactive ArcReader applications to assist the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) in conducting a wide range of transportation planning and traffic management activities. Examples include managing right of way acquisition and lane closures associated with the widening of 20 miles of I-93, as well as identifying required signage improvements along high risk rural roads throughout the state. This presentation will provide an overview of how ArcReader was utilized to overcome some of the challenges associated with these efforts.

In developing these applications CHA integrated a number of other technologies including linear referencing tools, GPS antennas, project collaboration websites, and custom data entry forms developed in Microsoft Access. Together these components have provided an effective yet low cost solution that effectively meets the needs of NHDOT's project managers. The presentation will feature background information regarding the project objectives, an overview of the application development process, and demonstrations of sample ArcReader applications.
