| Abstract: | Capturing the operations in ArcMap on video has resulted in a better learning outcome for students learning GIS in a fast-paced course. Previously, each step was listed and screen shots were used to show the operations. Screen-capturing software, such as Camtasia, have simplified the process and can serve as an alternative to memory, especially with seldom-used features. Screen capture videos also help student show the teacher where they are encountering problems. |
