The Town of Southbury hired Fuss & O'Neill to develop a plan for the implementation of a GIS. A GIS Needs Assessment, the foundation of any GIS implementation plan, was conducted with all departments identified as potential users of a GIS in Southbury. The GIS Needs Assessment and subsequent Implementation Plan were developed as a collaborative effort between Golden Aerial Surveys and Fuss & O'Neill, Inc. The Implementation Plan called for development of the GIS over 5 phases. Since the initial implementation, Southbury has continued to grow their GIS from the ground up to a dynamic system providing valuable information to the whole town. |
