Building off of a presentation I gave last year regarding integrating GIS and Survey data, we will examine the origin of data, how it effects accuracy and what the implications of that data might be. We will review the terminology found in most surveyors laws regarding the 'safety, health, and welfare of the public', and how data created by GIS Professionals are impacted by these statements. We will review different processes of data creation, discuss common disclaimers, and how these disclaimers are attached to data. |
