With the release of ArcGIS Server 9.2, many agencies that have implemented ArcIMS applications are wondering what the true differences between ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server are, is it worth it to reimplement their applications in ArcGIS Server, and what the future of ArcIMS is.
During this presentation the capabilities, speed, and functionality of both web development environments will be discussed; live case studies of applications developed in both environments will be presented; and the future of ArcIMS will be reviewed. This presentation will provide attendees a good understanding of both environments and will allow them to decide on what web development environment is best for them. |
