| Abstract: |
Combining geographic information systems (GIS) technology with accounting and customer relationship management (CRM) databases can provide surprising insights into business operations. GIS technology can provide helpful information about the geographic distribution of revenues, market penetration, and profits. This tool can be used to visualize point-in-time data as well as changes over time. In addition, the analysis can provide useful information during strategic planning efforts. In this session, Brad Hurley will present examples from his experience using GIS on real projects and discuss the lessons learned. |
