ArcGIS Server is a framework for distributed GIS. ArcGIS Server is designed for remotely accessing GIS data and functions for analysis and editing via a web site or other remote client. This session will focus on the configuration, deployment, and creation of mapping services in ArcGIS Server. Demonstrations will include the authoring of a map document in ArcMap, publishing it in ArcCatalog and ArcGIS Server Manager, and the design of a Web Mapping Application. Time permitting, discussion of using the ArcGIS Server Web Application Development Framework using .NET will be covered . Recommended for new users of ArcGIS Server, or those considering its use. |
