Northeast Arc Users Group 22nd Annual Conference November 4-7, 2007 Hilton Hotel Burlington, Vermont |
| GIS had an early start in the Green Mountain State. Faculty and researchers at the University of Vermont were using GIS and developing statewide data layers in the 1980’s. In 1988, VT Act 200 was passed with the goal of managing growth in the state and that law authorized $4.7 million to be spent on data and standards development over the next 5 years. |
| As in past NEARC conferences, user presentations once again reveal
the diversity and depth of GIS activity in the northeast region, and highlight the emerging technologies that make our profession so interesting and exciting. The program tracks include papers and presentations for virtually any field and any level of expertise, from novice user to experienced application developer. We urge you to visit the many vendors and exhibitors, as well as the ESRI technical workshops and Doctor’s Office. In order to maintain NEARC’s reputation for fun social activities, we have planned a range of entertainment options from hiking and biking to shopping and dancing. |
