ESRI Training Courses - Holiday Inn By the Bay

September 22 & 23, 2005

For the convenience of NEARC attendees, ESRI is offering two, two-day training courses immediately following the conference. Introduction to ArcIMS and Creating and Editing Parcels with ArcGIS will be taught on September 22 and 23 from 9am-5pm at the Portland Regency Hotel in Portland, ME. The Portland Regency Hotel is located within walking distance of the Holiday Inn By the Bay. Special pricing for these courses has been arranged.

Introduction to ArcIMS

Course Goals:

· Understand the components and structure of ArcIMS

· Understand the process of creating ArcIMS Web sites

· Author maps that can be served on the Internet

· Create ArcIMS services and viewers

· Utilize different client functionality

· Understand ArcXML syntax

· Make basic ArcIMS customizations

· Perform basic site administration tasks

Creating and Editing Parcels with ArcGIS

Course Goals:

· Symbolize cadastral data and create layer files

· Prepare the ArcMap editing environment to suit particular needs

· Enter new features via bearing and distance measurements

· Adjust traverses to fit into the existing parcel framework

· Learn a host of editing and drawing tools

· Create and modify annotation including lot dimensions

· Practice entering subdivisions
